BOISE -- The last of three people charged in the 2003 killing of a teen in the Boise desert is headed to prison.
Thursday afternoon, Judge Darla Williamson sentenced 19-year-old Daniel Hosford to 15 years in prison, with ten years fixed.
Hosford was 17-years-old when he, Jason McDermott and Robroy Wall took Zachariah Street into the desert south of Boise after learning that Street had told police about some criminal activity they were involved in.
Prosecutors say Hosford watched as McDermott and Wall shot their 18-year-old victim.
McDermott and Wall were convicted of first-degree murder earlier this year.
Hosford pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for aiding and abetting the crime, and testified in the trials of the other two men.
Before hearing his sentence, Hosford apologized for the pain he caused, and seemed to be on the verge of tears.
"I'm not asking for forgiveness," he said.
Members of Street's family were present at the sentencing hearing, but did not address the court.
