:cool: I have a friend on "B" yard there and he has been on lockdown, it seems for ever, does anyone have any idea when they will be off lockdown? As I am planning to visit in August and do not see the point if they will not be off lockdown by then.

My fiance is on "C"" yard at new folsom, in his last letter mentioned some drama, but didn't go into any detail. If i hear anything i will let you know.

Do you know why the whites are on lockdown? Dan didn't say anything about that, but that could be why i'm not hearing from him as much. We're getting married in Sept, and i sure hate to go all the way out there and they're still on lockdown!

hello, I was wondering if anyone can help. My brother-in -law died July 2nd, and I wondered if anyone heard what happened. We don't have any information, but he was dead in his bed.

I talked to my man Friday, he is on C yard also and he never mentioned anything about it. I do know that my letters seem to be taking longer than usual so who knows. I'll keep me ears open for any info when Jacob calls me.

If Dan calls i'll ask and see if i can find out anything for you. His letters aren't getting here half the time, and last letter he said he hadn't had any mail from me in over a month. I write every other day!! If i hear anything i will let you know. Sorry about your loss hon.

I'll try and find out, if they're on lockdown, he can't call, so i'll have to write and you already know they take their sweet ass time giving our guys their mail! I'll be praying for you and your family, I worry about my fiance all the time, and can't even begin to tell you how my heart goes out to you and your family.

According to a June 8th memo from the B-facility captain, "credible information was received that indicated White inmates were planning a stabbing assault on B-facility staff. Based on this information, all Level IV White inmates housed in B-facility are on lockdown pending an assessment of the threat."

All White inmates have been searched and interviewed, several of them have been transferred, and the investigation was concluded. So why are the remaining 41 White inmates on B-yard still being punished?! Why are they still being denied their quarterly packages and certain canteen purchases? Why haven't they gotten some kind of yard activity or exercise after 90 days? Why have there been assaults and a riot on June 8th involving other races in B-facility, but only the White inmates have been forced to follow a modified program continuously for the past three months? When my boyfriend asked the sergeant these questions in his 602 appeal hearing, he was given the runaround and told things like, "because we can" and "because that's the way we do it!" To me, those answers are just unacceptable . . . and very irresponsible! :angry:

Rumor has it that they'll get some kind of concrete or small yard after 90 days (which was last Friday), and will hopefully be off of lockdown in another 30-45 days. This is all just hearsay, so who knows when the madness will really end!? Keep your fingers crossed . . . and I'll let you know if I hear anything else.

I just heard . . . all white inmates in B-facility now have non-contact visits back! And hopefully contact visits by August!? But they're still on lockdown. :(

I just received a letter from my PP and he said that "B" yard whites are still on lockdown and he sees no end in sight, now he did receive a package but was only allowed certian things from it. I was to visit the first week in August but we have decided to postpone due to this. In his letter he told me that he has been unallowed to see his mother, for a visit for over 90 days and does not know when he will be allowed another visit. Plus they have been holding my visitation applicable for over 4 months now, without an answer. He tells me the same story, but states that it was a rumor and that the guards did kill one of the inmates, but would not go into any more detail.

I'm not sure of what is going on there but when I asked my man about Marvin Brown he changed the subject and wouldn't answer me. I thought it was rather odd but didn't push the issue however I would like to know what happened. If anyone does know please pass on the information.

According to the Sacbee, he suffocated to death, self-inflicted is what they (the prison ) is saying. That's all i could find out. Haven't heard from D. yet, but i asked him about it. If i hear anything will let you know.

I agree with you! When i read what little was in the paper, i thought the same thing.
There were two other deaths there also, one supposedly hung himself, and the other one they're saying his cellie killed him! It seem's odd that they're being very quiet about those three deaths, yet if a guard get's killed they can't write enough about it!!!!!

The number is 1-800-374-8474. I called the other night and no one was on lockdown than, but that seems to change daily, so i would give them a call.

I hate to sound stupid since my husband has been gone for 4yrs...but when I send him a letter, his address is "a letter then a #, a dash, then a letter then a #, another dash, and then a double digit #. Can someone translate for me. Which letter is the yard he is on?

Hi philsgirls, you don't sound stupid, i asked Dan the same question. From what he explained the first set of numbers is his prison number, the next set is what yard he is on, and the last set of numbers is what cell he is in on that yard. I am always asking him questions about things i don't understand, and words he uses that i don't know what they mean.
