I go every weekend, both days. . . . LOL, I am also in Hanford.
If he is in the same Bldg I may be able to get info. There are numerous buildings. PM me if you know which one he is in.

Hi everybody! I am new. My Fiance just got transferred to Wasco last Monday and I am scared to death. He has been on parole for almost 3 years and had 3 months left when he got picked up by our house because someone called the cops because they heard yelling from our house and our neighbors knew he was on parole. So I have no idea what to expect or how long he could possibly be in for. He has to go in front of the parole board but I dont know when that is supposed to happen. Does anyone anything that might be of help to me?

Hi Everyone! I'm new to this. My boyfriend has been in wasco reception since Dec, 2005. The mails are soooo slow. Usually 3 weeks. I miss him so much. He said the place is so loud at nights because some people are yelling all night....

I`m A Little Different Here Because It`s My Brother That`s In Wasco Rc. He Was Just Moved To The Dorms And Says It`s Very Loud And Crazy. I`m Still Waiting To Hear If I`m Allowed Visits. Drop Me A Private Message And I`ll See If Any Of Your Loved Ones Are Near My Brother. By The Way, Don`t Give Up On The Mail. It Took Three Weeks And My Brother Got 13 Letters At Once.

My fiancee was picked up for a non issue with 8 months left on 3 yr parole. The agent who busted him was a real bitch. Anyway, he bounced around in LA county for a couple of months before they shot him up to Wasco by way of Pitchess, North County Correctional, Wayside, Chino, back to Twin Towers and then out to Wasco. He was on a bus for 36 hours. He got carsick from all the moving around. He is no spring chicken (54) and it really took alot out of him. Anyway, he has been there since 3/17. Release is set for 6/18. I write him daily and it can take anywhere from 7-14 days for him to receive your mail, but I get mail from him within three days of the postmark so it is faster out than in. I hear it is boring, noisy and crowded. There is only yard 2x per week and sometimes at crap hours of the day, like 7-8 am. The food sucks and if they have no money on the books, they are constantly hungry because they don't get enough food. My honey has lost 18 pounds in 3 months. (I wish I could do that!!) Be sure to send money, Postal money orders clear much faster and be sure to put their name and CDC number on the money order. They can spend up to $90 a month and they get nothing but clothes when they arrive. They have to buy soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, everything. Reception sucks. They have few privileges and time passes slowly. Send your loved one support in letters every day and if you want them to write you, send lined writing tablets, with out the cardboard back, and envelopes with stamps on them and put their return address so the envelopes don't clipped in 11X14 in envelopes. You can send pictures too, but be sure to put their # on them in case they get separated from the envelope. I also send books, paperback only and they have to come from a bookstore. You cannot send them in. That is all I can think of now. Hang in there. It doesn't get easier, but being in constant contact does help them keep up morale. Hippie
