Visits are either from Thursday @ 10:30 through Sunday @ 9am or Sunday @ 10:30 to Wednesday @ 9am. Well… I guess the apartments aren’t THAT dirty… but then, my husband gets there at least an hour before I do and he cleans everything top to bottom, including all the dishes, microwave, mattresses, couches floors EVERYTHING. Theres usually disinfectant in the rooms they can use to clean (and a nasty mop to mop). We order the food off a menu and it’s mainly from the grocery store, not bad keep in mind when ordering that you will not have any knives to cut anything with so certain things (ribs) can get REALLY messy. There is a TV, DVD player and a few DVDs (G rated) you also get channels 2-13. There is a microwave, oven, toaster. A small yard where you can go outside and stare at the stone wall that’s right in front of your apartment. The Family visiting officer is officer Carion and she is really nice about answering any questions, giving requested visiting dates, etc. He can’t bring any cosmetics so make sure you bring whatever cosmetics he needs as well as what you need, razors, lotions, deodorant, toothbrushes etc. no alchohol, no aerosol cans. No metal containers, no mirrors. Make sure you bring dish soap, dish rags to wash the dishes and you are allowed to bring disinfecting wipes. That’s all I can think of but let me know if you have any more questions, I’ll do my best to answer them.

I had a couple family visits there back in the 1990's, the apartments where fairly clean. However, the food is awful so review the food list carefully before ordering cause you are there like friday until sunday and you may be awfully hungery by the time you leave.

Thanks For The Info. I Am Hoping To Get Our Family Visit The Weekend Of Thanksgiving. Do you know if the "checking in" process is a long wait? Would i have to wait in line outside? i have never visited there and the first time will be with my 5 year old daughter, so i am a bit nervous, being the "NEWbe" really stinks!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got used to Delano, my husband was there for 5 years. So this change is not welcomed!!!
