My husband's younger brother was in jail for just about 2 1/2 years for a bunch of B&E's which were all drug related. He is almost 26 been involved with hard drugs since he was 13. He's been in and out of the system since he was 15 in DYS, foster homes, etc. He was released the middle of May and was supposed to be on probation for 5 years.

He didn't even make it 3 weeks. This system is a joke. He had no where to go when he got out because he had pretty much burnt anybody who cared about him in the past including my husband and me. He lied to everybody he came in contact with about where he was living. Told his PO he was living with us, told us he was living with a friend, told that friend he was living with non-existant relatives.

When is the system going to change?

that is so sad........i know it must be tough on you guys.....this is the same thing that happened to my son.........they sure don't help anything when these guys are "lost" on the streets.......

my boyfriend was paroled may 10th 2005 and arrested on august 11th and now he's off to do a 5 year sentence with half.these past three months have been hell. i've done all i could for him but he hasnt been straight w/ me.even now, i dont see how he could be facing another 2 and a half years in prison for a parole violation. but in his letter he seems ok w/it. guess he just doesnt feel like he can make it on the outside and has given up.i'm so sad for him and angry at him too, for wasting my time, money, love effort everything...
