Hey, how's everyone doing? Well, I've obviously made a few posts here and there since I joined a couple of days ago, but I decided to be fair and give a quick introduction of myself just in case anyone is curious. I'm 22 and living in Florida. My boyfriend is in prison in Alabama. He's actually coming home soon. I found this site while I was looking for info on the whole Interstate Compact thing so he can come to Florida when he is released. Anyways, this site is the greatest discovery I have ever made!! I am in school now, I just graduated in April with my BA in Psych. Now I'm working on my masters degree. I work part-time through the university that I attend. Ironically enough, my work consists of working with juvenile offenders. I'm kind of like a juvenile probation officer. But relax, I'm not the mean type. I'm more the one that I have broken down in tears signing the paperwork for a VOP that my boss MADE me do because I didn't want the kid to get violated. My boyfriend always says that I'm the perfect type to work in the system because I care, and because I think rationally...not to mention having an insider's perspective on things. I simply tell him that I will stick to my juveniles. See there? Take this as a sign to never ask about my job because I will talk forever about it. If you want to know anything else about me, feel free to ask at any time! Again, I am extremely happy to have found PTO. Every person here that I have come into contact with have proven to be the most amazing individuals. You are all so strong! :thumbsup:
Welcome to PTO!!!! :wave: We are glad to have ya with us!!! As you have probably already noticed :p ...we are all one big happy family here!!! Just "holler" whenever you need someone to talk to, a shoulder to cry on...or to "scream" about how well...about how the ADOC is...we are here!!!! :thumbsup:

Welcome to PTO. You will find more support here than anyplace in the world!! I am a college student majoring in Criminal Justice. I had thought about juvenile probation once I am done, but then keep leaning toward the adult part of it. I am also a security officer not in a correctional facility, but some of the things I have to deal with I almost think it would be better. I like to look at myself as one that can break through barriers and it appears with your caring nature you are too!!!! Once again....WELCOME to the Family!!
