View Full Version : "what's the point" and cosidering life
now__live 06-18-2005, 10:39 PM  I have recently recieved a letter from my friend in the polunsky unit as well. He mentions questioning if anyone actually cares about HIM or if they are only chalking him up to a statistic. . . . I wrote to tell him of how much i love him and do care about him greatly. I mentioned how horrid it must be there, but couldn't actually imagine going through what he his.
Things and times have become almost unbearable for many there. This breaks my heart knowing that a very good friend of mine, a man i felt so secure when in his presence, is being treated so badly.
I am copying a request of another here on this message board - but could you all write a one liner, or more, telling my friend that there are people (tho they may be strangers) in the world whom care about individuals on death row and that they aren't just statistics to us all.
I would appreciate this and so would he.
Thank you.

interbiz04 06-18-2005, 11:48 PM Hey! One of my best friends is on the row too!
From me, tell your friend that there are a lot of people out there who care about all of the people on DR.
I can't imagine what they go through. But, he is somebody. He has a life and I know people value it! God loves him, and he created him for a reason!
To your friend -- you are not just a statistic, you are someone that we all care about!
I truly do care!!! No one should ever feel like a statistic, they are real people, with real feelings and emotions. There are ALOT of people all throughout the USA and the world that do care about what is happening.
Now Live, tell your friend never to give up the fight, cause we certainly wont. (((hugs)))
kmlchitown 06-19-2005, 03:31 AM now live , please pass this message on to your friend , people care all over the world and yes we are getting off our butts and doing things , Also tell him Richard Cartwright ask in his final statement that all the boys " stand tall and keep the heads up " . To many people they are more than a number and we are fighting for them all ....
Stand Tall Mate !!!!

Just Me 1973 06-19-2005, 09:26 AM I have two wonderful friends in Polunsky, and they both mean so much to me. I care about all the guys on the row, even though I don't know each and every one personally. United we stand to fight for all of you, so don't give up!! People DO care - even if you don't see it in your day to day life.
Stay strong!!

MiaBellaAngela 06-19-2005, 02:32 PM The row is no place for a man or woman, let alone an animal. We all KNOW you are human, even tho the system is not treating you that way. Never give up hope! Keep God close.

Thank you for telling me that I did great. wow - it was a time crunching experience. . . i had been emailing kdol for permission to get on air and reading this ALL AT THE SAME TIME. suzeg3 07-01-2005, 08:49 AM You should print this out for him, l am sorry I missed the opportunity to be invovled in the "shout out" but he should know that no, though it may feel like it, people on the outside have NOT forgotten him. Even yankees like me in Minnesota think and pray about those on DR in Texas..... please tell him not to despair, that we will fight the death penalty
