Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to take a moment to properly introduce myself. I have recently posted in a couple of different forums with various questions/issues so I suppose I am doing this backwards but better late than never....lol. I am 24 and a single mother of 3. I was recently sentenced to 20 months federal with a self surrender date of Aug. 16th. My father who post with the name "digger" was also sentenced with 15 months federal time. This has been the absolute best resource on the internet without a doubt. Everyone here has been so prompt with their responses and words of encouragement and for that I am truly thankful. When I get out I plan to help others in my same situation, especially those that don't have anyone to care for their children and risk losing them. I am lucky enough to have my mom willing to care for my children while I am gone, but as we all know, not everyone has that. I will keep all of you in my prayers and hope that I can have a positive affect on this site and its future growth. There is no limit to what people can do as a team.

I report August 16th and he reports July 26th. We are trying not to count down and enjoy the time we have with our family 'til then

PS. You are basically living the worst part of your sentence. You can't start closure until you are there and counting down.. Your in limbo right now and I know from experience what a bitch that really is..

Welcome, Goldy! How wonderful that your mom will take care of your children! Isn't it a great relief to know they'll be with someone who loves them and will take real good care of them?!

Goldy-Good luck and welcome! PLease tell your father that he is in our prayers as well! I am sure everything will work out and you will be back with your kids before you know it...I second Jds idea if you need a pen pal let me know and I'll give ya my address or whatever....good luck!
