OK, here’s the question. I’ve read before that after they changed the visiting days at SalinasValley the visiting has become hectic. Can anyone give me some more insight? When the visiting becomes hectic? How to avoid it? I did a search on here but didn’t find much (user error:)).

My usual visits are on Sundays and I leave the house around 5:00 a.m. and I get there between 6:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. I visit the B yard in SalinasValley.

I have visited twice and it was nothing. There was hardly a line both times. The first time I went on a Sunday in April and I was number 107 after I arrived at 6:00 a.m. The second time I went on a Sunday on Memorial Day weekend and I was number 86 after I arrived at 6:30 a.m.

Hopefully by asking I won’t jinx myself:D .

I don't know about Salinas, but in most prisons when they change the days, it just becomes more hectic I think because the prison staff needs to get used to it, and if they have cut out a day, then it might be more crowded because they cut out a day! I am sure you will be fine, have fun on your visit. Sounds like they have the visiting under control over there already.
