Hey! Does anyone know how far in advance you have to make a request for a special visit for offenders on DR at the Polunsky Unit? I'm wondering about visiting on Saturday nights -- what the time schedule is and how far in advance do you have to notify the warden's office?

I've been going every week during the week, but I can't make it on a weekday next week! If anyone knows, I'd appreciate it! THANKS!!!

If you want to visit on a Saturday you will need to phone during the preceding week to book a 2 hour "slot" on either the first or second session.

My advice is to phone early on Monday morning to make sure you get a space. I think the second session is better, a little quieter than the first.

You can only book Saturday night visits at the beginning of that week, so call Monday as Rach said. They have 2 time slots

5-7pm
and
8-10pm

The 8-10pm is alot quieter. You go straight in, and they have them sitting there waiting in a booth, you dont have to wait for them to bring them out :) You cant call the week before to book though, it has to be the week that the Saturday falls on.
