Jason is going to be placed in Fountain in about 3 weeks. I need to know anything and everything about it. Visitaion days, hours, how many adult/children can come at a time. Can you get married there? Have you ever had problems with fountain? And anything else you can think of!! Thanks for all of your help.:)

First I'm sorry, it very hard getting use to and understanding the system, especially the ADOC. I just went threw this with my son. First let me tell you, just because Jason (which by the way is my son's name too) was classified and told he would go to Fountain doesn't mean anything. ADOC puts the prisoner were they can fit them. My son just left Kilby for classifaction a few wks ago they told him and wrote on his classifation paper he was to be sent to Fountain or Staton (and this is after the Judge and classification "ORDERED" my son to go to St. Clair. Jason ended up at Ventress. So the moral is just because "THEY SAID, it really means nothing. The best advise I can offer you is the same as I got from the other members. Just calm down and wait it out. They won't even tell you boy friend where he going, they just wake him up in the middle of the night and they take you,then it will be a few days before he can get an approved phone list in the system. My son had another prisoner from Kilby call me collect and when I picked up insteading of hearing a name announced the man just said "Jason's gone". Then I had to wait 3 days until he called me. Again, I am sorry, but the best thing you can do at this point is pray, and take care of yourself and your child. Your boy friend, like my son, and I'm sure all the other members will tell you, all the prisoners go threw all the crap on their end and we on the outside go thre all the worrying/pain/sleeplessness and heart ache. My son is only 22 yrs old, he got to Ventress and a old timer made friends with him and he fine. You Jason will be fine too, he just needs to keep to himself, not borrow anything, and pick his friends wisely.
I keep you and him in my prayers. And you never know your Jason may end up at Ventress and could met my Jason. God Bless and Keep your Faith.

correct...those classification officers don't "know" where their going either!!! like linda said..just because they told him fountain...don't count on it...
