I am leaving in the morning @ 7 headed for Dallas Texas!! I couldn't be more excited. I have 3 daughters and they are staying with their grandma while the wife and I go have some alone time. We are going to Six Flags, and on Friday we are going to the Craftsman's Truck Series Race, on Saturday, we are going to watch the Indy cars race. I am so excited.We will be going to Six Flags on Sunday and then coming back home to reality. So I will be on here for a bit today and then I will be back on Monday or Tuesday. I know there are some folks that have been to Dallas and Ft.Worth, so where is a good place to eat?

Just wanted to wish you a good, safe trip. It has been so many years since I was there, I couldn't begin to tell you a good place for dining. If you don't find your answer here, you may want to start a new thread in the Texas forum, where is the best place for dining in the areas you are interested in.

I'd post a thread in TX for the best food in the Dallas/Ft Worth area too. Although, I'm a Texas member at heart - I live in Mississippi. But we have lots of members in the Dallas/Ft Worth area that I know will give you some places!!

Have a great trip! But I'm warning you, don't ride the Texas Giant or Texas Twister or whatever the one in Six Flags Dallas is called. Way too rickety! I swear it rattled my brain - every time I rode a ride after it, I got a splitting headache. It was horrible! Still to this day, sometimes when I'm jogging or something, I can feel the same crackling that happened after I rode that ride (hard to explain the feeling)!

One of my friends who sat right behind me had the same experience except they had really bad neck pain - but my 2 other friends didn't - so if you do ride it, sit on the left side. If that makes any sense. Okay, I'm done now. :) Have fun!
