Hi everyone,
A friend from a different forum e-mailed about this site so I thought I'd check it out.
My fiance is in a supermax in Shirley,Ma. We have been together for 3 1/2 yrs. He is up for parole in 2003 or wraps in 2005.
We met at work I was working at the same location that he was on a work crew at. I followed him around till he either had to talk to me or file a restraining order. Lucky for me he decided to talk to me.
You know how the story goes, girl meets boy they fall in love, they get caught corresponding girl gets fired boy gets lugged to a supermax.:)
I don't regret it though! I found my soul mate got another job and according to a friend of mine that works there have become an urban legend!
Hey if they didn't want me to talk to him they should have encased him in barb-wire.
This has been really hard and nothing I ever thought that I would do but at least I've kept my sense of humor.
Well, nice to meet you all,Jayemarie

JayeMarie:

Welcome to PTO.... My son's Fiancee (Love Muffin) met him in almost the same exact way you met yours.... They fell in love and she lost her job... Now she cannot ever visit any DOC in the State...... they do not get to see each other and it has been very hard.....

Hope you will be able to talk with Renee soon... I noticed she has not been posting the last week or so.....

Welcome again.. You will find a lot of good people here who will understand, listen, and sometimes offer advice...

Hello Jaye Marie

As Budwoman just mentioned, I met my love while I was employed for the NCDOC. We fell in love and have been head over heels for each other ever since. That was in November of 2000. After I resigned my position I was able to visit him for 8 months, then my visits were taken away completely. I haven't seen him in 6 months. It is very tough but at least we can write and talk to each other every day. This is what keeps me sane.

Hope to hear more from you real soon.

Welcome Jayemarie.
You definitely are not alone in your situation.. We may need to open a forum dedicated to employees that use to work (or currently do) for the DOC's and have fallen in love with inmates. Currently, we are using the Family in Prison forums but that may change soon.
Stay strong and hold on!

David

PS.. Barb-wire can't silence love..
