Got his pre-sentencing packet yesterday and from what it said something about a minimum 5yr cap. So, this means that he has to do at least 5 before he can be eligible for parole, right? He's got 298days as of last month down.
Does MI count "good" time or anything or is it just flat time on drug cases?

Hey Honey - if I read your question correctly, he has a minimum of 5 years? If that is the case, yes, because of Truth in Sentencing, he has to serve at least his minimum before he is eligible for parole. Michigan no longer has good time or any other credits. I know it didn't help, but I hope that answered your questions.

Honey , if you don't mind, what was his original sentence. My husbands was 20-30, not its 5-10
