I am desperate. I have searched and searched for a way to susanville. I can't find a bus plane or train! :angry: I have a car but no insurance. The car is in my fiance name so I can't get insurance(couldn't anyway no DL) Do they check for insurance if you park there or what. Please any info will help.:( :confused:

Go back to other thread about ride sharing to Susanville and tell her that you'll meet her in Sacramento, or San Jose for that matter. They have trains AND buses to both!!!

Back in 2000 my fiance was at CCC Susanville aka boontown! There is nothing out there....honestly! I would usually drive to see my man every weekend from San Jose to Susanville which was about 6 1/2 hours one-way! :eek: Anyhow, when you get into the town there is 1 post office, about 4 motels, 1 bowling alley, 1 movie theater, 1 Rite-Aid, 1 Denny's, 1 McDonald's, 1 Taco Bell & 1 Kentucky Fried Chicken. I'm not sure if much has changed since then, but I hated it up there! :blah: Anyhow, I did fly a few times and unfortunately the closest airport is in Reno, NV which is about 1 1/2 hours away from Susanville. So I would fly into Reno and then rent a car and drive 1 1/2 hours to Susanville. Have you tried checking into Greyhound to see if they go out there? I highly doubt it, but hey it's worth a try. I found the pefect solution I amgoing to reno nevada then i will catch the mt lassen shuttle to susanville. i will worry about the rest when I get there. I am finally gonna see my boo.
