Well you all, I finally did it... After 7 months... Its done...:D Im offically Mrs. Sherrod.... It has been ordeal.... but now its completed...

The whole thing was pretty nerve wrecking.... I had to wait 1hr 45 minutes for them to bring him down... I was starting to wonder if he had changed his mine... but that couldnt possibly be so ... being how excited he has been through the whole thing.... The officers had the nerve to tell me, they couldnt find him....:mad:.. How do you lose someone in a prison... Right!!! The chaplin was about to leave....stating he had a nother service to attend... I was prettty upset... Then they came over and said he'll be down in 10 minutes...

When he showed up... he looked TICKED-OFF ! They never told him, we (my mom,sister ,our son,and my brother) were there waiting... So he's sitting upstairs thinking ,I stood him up !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The service it self was wonderful... I had to keep my self from crying to prevent racoon eyes from appearing (mascara)....:p We decided to get married on the same day we met 11yrs ago.....

I love my husband ... and 2006 club... here I come.... that's when my family will be totally complete... these last six years have been torture....
but everything happens for a reason... and Ive found this has brought us closer than ever before... Yesterday.. I married my Best Friend

I just wandered in and saw your wedding pics -- oh, doncha' just love apathetic attitudes when such a wonderful event is about to take place. Some of those officials were probably jealous at the thought of a "prisoner" :eek: having a happy occasion. Some of the COs were probably going through a divorce -- oops-- I didn't say that... :cool:

Side thought: Your guy is tall! Mine is too; 6'7" and I'm a towering 5'2" !

Girl, I just read your story and it brought tears to my eyes,tears of joy and tears of disbelief,because of how these so- called "officers" could be so cruel. They do Foul "crap" and expect for our men,sons,family members to give them respect. It is an honor to have read a story that's similar to mine. People say that things like this can't happen, and you,and a lot of other woman have made the impossible- possible. My fiance and I have been going through this it seems like forever (since 2000) He is due to go up for parole in November of this year, and due to the S.C. prison system, we have to wait until he comes home before we can get married.(Believe me we've tried everything to get married while he's in prison) But, It's a long road but I know that my "light" will be coming soon.
So Mrs.Sherrod, I applaud you.
