Where is everyone? The Arkansas forum seems dead the last couple days.

It is Saturday...we are going to visit my grandmother in Camden. On Monday, we are going to put some flowers on my grandfather's grave and hope to cook out...weather permitting.
Hope everyone has a great and safe holiday weekend.

Sometimes it gets that way Peaches. Alot of people are gone this weekend for the holiday festivities.

Even when there are no holidays some forums will stay quiet and everyone seems to go to other generalized forums.

Happy Memorial Day to you all.

Have a great time at Riverfest with the kids. I'm sure you will enjoy it, although i've never been to it.

My weekend consists of quietness and solitude, just the way I like it :D

Babygirl, I know how sometimes it gets so quite in the Arkansas forum but it seems to have been especially quiet the last couple of days. I was bored and was hoping for some Arkansas news, chat, or something, lol.

Hope you have a safe and good Memorial Day weekend.

Riverfest is awesome! Saw Black Crowes and Seether last night.Mykids and I were rocking out!

parked at the clinton library. Someone put up a display in a parking lot, a blue velvet dress with huge signs under it. One sign said "I did not have ____ with that woman" and another said something like "Hillary dump that scum"

It was hysterical. My kids asked me if I put it up cuz i always said the clinton library wouldn't be complete without the blue dress.

It's rainy but cool today, and i still have some tickets so going back to Riverfest. We ate at Juanita's yesterday. Will either eat at Vinos or Sticky Fingerz today.

Hey everybody! I've been enjoying this Memorial Day weekend also. Too bad we didn't bump into each other Julie - I was at Riverfest last night too watching the Black Crowes - but it was so packed, I'm not surprised we didn't see each other. Got to see B.B. King Friday night - which was awesome! My favorite thing about Riverfest though is running into old friends that you haven't seen in forever. Hope everyone continues to have a fun and safe holiday!

I'm starting the countdown to my 21st birthday!! 12 more days to go! :)

Hunt's-Girl - i'm sooo glad u got to see BBKing!! I couldn't go cuz i had to be here to wait on the kids to arrive. Too bad he wasn't playing Sat or Sun cuz they would have loved to see him too. I saw him a couple years ago.

Black Crowes WAS awesome and that would have been great to bump into you. Saw REO Speedwagon last night. Pouted cuz no one wanted to go with me and i had 38 coupons left, so finally my kids came with me, and then it started raining! I kept re-assuring them "you'll look back on this fondly!" but they kept telling me it's all good. The crowd wasn't as fun for REO (go ahead, insert old joke here!).

I ran into Hubby's ex wife!!! I about died - she lives in Mena! She said my step son was there somewhere. I'm glad it was so crowded!

I always seem to end up with leftover riverfest tickets too, but thankfully not this year. Glad you had a good time all 3 nights Julie. I just remembered someone else I saw. Do you remember the other young girl who visited her boyfriend at Cummins? Really cute young couple. He got out probably about a year ago. They were there together, just talked to her in passing through the crowd - but it was nice to see that they were still together.

I know exactly who you are talking about! That's so cool that you recognized her and they are still together, AND out together having fun!!!

Well, I'm glad all of you had fun at Riverfest. I was stuck in a restaurant all weekend feeding the riverfest crowd. Our sales were huge. I worked 36 hours Sat and Sun. What fun!!

Aww Julie, you're too sweet... but have you looked in the mirror lately? You're gorgeous! I'm going to Memphis with 4 of my friends to celebrate next Friday - I am SO ready to be 21! I'm the last of my friends to finally turn 21, so they're excited too. Yeah, Juanitas has really good food and good bands sometimes too.

And off subject, what "famous" or "popular" song does Robert Plant sing? I have no idea who he is... :o

LOL HG! Thanks for the compliment!

Robert Plant was the lead singer of Led Zeppelin. He went solo after John Bonham (drummer) died and he is soooo freaking sexy even though he's 53 now, he melts me. Saw him and Jimmy Page (guitar) in chicago 6 years ago when i was a size 4. I was on 4th row and he flirted w/me 3/4 of the way throughout the concert! I was crying and tearing at my clothes and saying "i love you" and he said, outloud, "awww pillow talk" he sang an entire song to me (Tangerine from Led Zep 3) let out some of his famous moans while making eye contact with me, bowed to me.. omg.. I was wearing a red mini dress. The next album he released "dreamland" had a song "pretty little girl w/a red dress on." < well,,,, ya never know!! In my mind, I inspired him anyway!! Saw him again over spring break this year at a small club in Dallas (gypsy tea room). I was on 3rd row but he never saw me, he's showing his age, but he's still got the voice and the hair!! His new album is best he's put out in  20 years (I loved his first few solo albums, slept out on the concrete all night just for crappy seats back in the day!)

When my kids come up this summer I'm taking them to Memphis and I promised them 2 days of nothing but blues and barbeque!! (Most people don't think about zeppelin music enough to realize it's blues inspired). I've never been to Memphis - we're really looking forward to it.

Okay, I know who Led Zepplin is - just never knew the lead singer's name. So, you might have a song written about you, huh? :) One of my favorite songs of there's is "Over the Hills and Far Away". Sounds like you are a true hardcore fan though - sleeping out in the streets :D . I love it!
