PRISON FIGHT LEADS TO LOCKDOWN AT CMC

The California Men's Colony's east wing remained locked down until at least this morning after a Monday morning fight involving about 100 inmates.Guards fired hollow rubber balls and pepper spray to break up the 10:10 a.m. melee, said Lt. Shelly Thompson, spokeswoman for the prison.She said the lockdown was in place and the fight quelled within 20 minutes. Some inmates suffered minor injuries.Thompson said officials are still trying to determine what started the fight.
