Please help!

My husband's lawyer called today and said that he was approved (?) for resentencing. His case was on appeal and he was sentenced to 57 months. Does anyone know if since it has come this far and they have agreed to a resentencing hearing, is it likely that he may get some time off? Or is this just something the court system does on a regular basis without ever giving anyone a lighter sentence. Our lawyer just said..."he could get time served to nothing taken off of his sentence at all". He makes me feel ignorant whenever I ask him questions.

No one knows for sure how the resentencing is going to go. There are not enough cases to be able to 'take a guess' at how it is going to be handled. I say, hold on to your faith and stay on your kness praying. :):) There is hope. That is saying alot.
