Hey ladies!

I think that a New England State (and any others who wanna come visit New England for a day or 2) iG2G is in order!

I don't have any specific plans,or any great ideas... I know in October, we have been talking about visiting Salem... but October is way to long away, and we all know what happened last October.... (For those that don't, Red Sox were actually playing October Baseball... so I had to miss the last G2G!) So lets plan one for the early summer... We will use this thread to throw out some ideas, and see were everyone agrees.

So.. Cyndi, Donna, Jess, and all our other New England ladies lets get this thing on the ball.

Dinner? Lunch? Drinks? A day at the park? Running away to Florida together for a year is okay too (heh.)I am open for suggestions!

:)

LOL Jess. Which one? Hah...

I'm up for the zoo thing, its right up the street from my house. They have a new exhibit there about Dinosaurs, which really looks WICKED cool. My son would dig on it. The only problem with bringing my little man is he is off with Daddy on the weekends. But I'd go to the zoo with or without kids, That zoo is awesome.

We could also put out there a casino night. I don't know how many people would be interested in goin to the casino, but both Mohegan and Foxwoods are amazing places. I go to both alot to for the food and atmosphere. I'm not really a gambler...

or If there is only females, we could go spend our spend our dollars and see chippendale. Those shows are always rowdy :)

But then I have nothing against just a normal ol Chilis Rest. for chicken cripsers and margaritas...

LOL Heather - all of them! :D

I love the zoo! I love food! I'm open for anything really, so just let me know when and where! :)

frogge: If you would be willing to take a train or bus into whatever city we are meeting in, I am sure that one of us would be more than happy to pick ya up and get ya back... I can't say it would be in one piece, since we are all New England drivers... but I can say that we'd be more than happy to take ya!

So whatever it is we are doing... has to be on a Saturday. But I am going away twice in June...and one of them vacations takes up 2 Saturdays. But 6/11 I am totally free.... Other than the July 4th weekend of July we can do it in July.

So what, June or July?

I would go, how far is it from the city and how expensive to stay there for a night?

I cannot go June 11th or June 25th, I have my New York g2g June 25th, I will be away for June 11th

Ms.Heather
06-12-2005, 11:11 PM
My god time goes by WAY WAY too fast.
And what the heck happened to SPRING??? Cold and Rainy for 2 weeks since the snow has been gone... and than BAM 90's and humid. Jeesh...

Okay back on topic... We need to do this. I say we just do a dinner at a Chilis and perhaps some margaritas. If everyone who is interested in going and let me know where you live so I can choose a Chilis somewhere in the middle... and if July 9th is good for everyone else... i say we got for it... Let me know what city you are in and I will update the info.

MrsG Most likely it will be in the boston area of Mass. Which is about 4 hours or so from NYC. Its not really expensive to stay around here... You can find a cheaper hotel (Days Inn, Red Roof) all within distance for roughly 85$ a night. Boston is alot like NY with its subways... you can get anywhere on em. PM me if your planning on coming down, and I can give you a list of hotels, motels in area.

Ms.Heather
06-13-2005, 03:52 PM
Well gettin to Mass is not a problem what-so-ever. I can just make my rounds in visiting Mass that day... so being in the area isn't a problemo.

There is a Chilis on 120 Worcester Road Framingham, MA Is that cool with everyone else?

July 9, Chilis in Framingham at 6:30.

So far it will be a very small group, but I don't believe that will make a difference... We will have a good time reguardless.

Me, Jess, Donna, Cyndi (donnas friend.. BRING her along!) I'm sure all all definates. Anyone else up for some chicken crispers and a Presidente margarita?

Lookin forward to it!

how can I get there by bus or train, from NYC to where? :)

Slainte
06-17-2005, 05:09 PM
Mrs G -

The Fung-Wah bus runs from Chinatown in NYC to Chinatown in Boston... I think it's about $30 round trip. Other buslines like Peter Pan also make the round trip. Just Google them. It's about a 4-5 hour ride one way.

Amtrak runs from I think Penn Station to Boston's South Station, but I think you can actually get off at a stop in Framingham, which is west of the city, and where we happen to be eating! :) It's more expensive than the bus, and I'm not sure it's that much quicker...

Either place, one of us will meet you so you don't have to worry about getting around... :)

Manzanita
06-17-2005, 06:06 PM
I will look into all of this....I really want to go now, I just have to get the dog taken care of for one night Sat-Sun. I can ride up Sat after noon and come back Sunday afternoon, NO? Maybe stay with one of the ladies here :) This sounds like something so fun :) I would love to see Boston ;)

Manzanita
06-17-2005, 06:08 PM
so can I buy the tickets one way on the bus or only online for Fung Wah?

Slainte
06-17-2005, 06:17 PM
Hmmm... not sure... but I think a lot of people take Fung-Wah cuz it's so inexpensive, so I'd buy your tix online just to make sure you have a seat.

My niece and coworker both buy their tix online and haven't had any problems.

Manzanita
06-17-2005, 06:19 PM
but you can only get one way...I think. :)

Slainte
06-18-2005, 08:49 AM
lol - I think you just have to make two separate transactions :)

Manzanita
06-18-2005, 08:56 AM
