View Full Version : Motel Near Folsom????
dianne236 05-18-2005, 12:39 AM Hi,
Does anybody know the name of that motel near Folsom that has discounted rates? I would appreciate it......
jdcjmc1 05-18-2005, 12:51 AM try searching travelocity and see what kind of specials you can get. When i went to Mule Creek i stayed at the Windgate inn in rancho Cordova. it was a ctually a special the flight and motel.. You do not say where you are coming from but all together I paid 230.0 for flight from burbank to Sacramento. The hotel i got for 40.00 a night. normally the hotel charges 100.00 and something. Only problems is if you go throught them and don't cancel in time they can charge your credit card or debit card. pm me for more info if your like
KandS 05-18-2005, 11:42 AM Hi Dianne236,
I have stayed at The Inns of America, it's one exit away from Folsom State Prison.
They give special rates discounted rates but you have to let them know that your visiting an inmate.
Inns of America can be reached at:
(916) 351-1213
12249 Folsom Blvd.
Rancho Cordova, CA
Also Folsom motel gives dicounted rates, i have never stayed there.

poppy's 05-18-2005, 12:45 PM Days Inn $60.00 a night 916 351-1213 vistor rate that includes taxes. Folsom Lodge but its nasty and I don't have that number but it is $50.00 for one person and $55.00 for two beds but the showers have slime on the bottom so bring shower shoes if you are planning on staying there.

Cheetoes1 05-19-2005, 12:21 AM I believe the Inns of America is your best bet. I stayed there for the 4 years my husband was at New Folsom. The earliest check in time ( if there is a room) is 6am!! And you can get a room with a microwave and a fridge. ( I'm totally cheep!! LOL)And there is a pool, plus they serve a cheesy continental breakfast :p LOL With lots of coffee!! :)

KeviesMom 05-19-2005, 11:10 AM Hi Dianne,
There is also a Motel 6 close by. Look for the one on Olson in Rancho Cordova. Very close to the freeway. It is one exit farther away from Old Folsom but still only 7 miles away. I think Inns of the Americas is now Days Inn.
Charme :)
kaalilsis 05-19-2005, 11:19 AM I stayed at the Holiday inn I loved it!! very close and AAA discount there! they have a pool and a bar I think it was 79 a night
Cheetoes1 05-23-2005, 12:40 AM The Motel 6 in Rancho Cordova is crap. Check in time is 3pm and they never have a room ready!! Then your stuck trying to find something to do for the next 2 hours in 100 degree weather!! :( ( Been there done that!!) And the rooms are dirty. It's not a nice Motel 6!! Atleast when I was there. I don't know how it is now. Though, Friends on the Outside will pick you up and drop you back off for visiting at that motel also.

KeviesMom 05-23-2005, 09:57 AM Haven't stayed at Motel 6 myself, but my parents just stayed there a few weeks ago and had no complains. They arrived at 4PM so check-in wasn't an issue. Just an option in the area.
Charme
Cheetoes1 05-23-2005, 11:29 PM I still have a deep seeded resentment with the motel!! LOL :D

Mrz.Williams 05-25-2005, 12:11 AM thanks you guys. i have been trying to figure out what i am going to do the day my husband is getting released. i was considering getting a room there the night before and spend the night out there so i can be ready when he is released. i originally thought that there was only the two hotels right there on iron points road. now i know. thanks so much. i now have my options.
nenalicea 06-01-2005, 02:45 PM I've stayed at the Inns of America. It's not that bad for only paying $60, and that's for a double bed room! It's only like less than 10 minutes from the prison also! I just called to make reservations for the motel and rates have gone up it is now 67.08 for one night just so you just in case it's a little more now;)
Cheetoes1 06-02-2005, 12:25 AM Is that $ 67.08 with tax per night and with the visitor's discount? If it is, the motel is raising the price about once a year now :( What a bummer!!
KellyA.
nenalicea 06-02-2005, 05:21 PM That's with the visitor discount and tax! Sucks huh! I think it's because it's now The Day's Inn.
KandS 06-02-2005, 07:00 PM When i stayed there at the end of march it was $60.36 with tax & everything.
