I just called up Old Folsom....As of May 16th all White & Black inmates are on lockdown.

Is it only effecting white and black inmates or is it all inmates? My wife is worried since she hasn't heard from her son in over a week, no telephone call or mail. Any help would be great.

It is only affecting the Blacks & Whites no other races.

The Black inmates are now off lockdown

the blacks are back on lockdown as of 8:00pm friday. Whites may be on for a while.

Do you know what happened to keep the whites on lockdown? It seemed from your reply that you felt they might be locked down a long time...Thanks. My son is there.

i went this past weekend saturday 052105 and they said that they were back on lockdown that friday night 052005. needless to say there were a lot of sad faces and and empty parking lot. luckily my husband is on the ranch/camp. i dont know what i would have done if my husband would have stayed behind the wall. as we went up the road in the van to the camp the CO said that he wouldnt be suprised if this recent incident will leave them on lockdown for 6 weeks lets hope not!!! :shake:

hi - my boyfriend just got trasnfered to folsom on monday. do you know the reason that the whites are on lockdown there? he was @ north kern for over a year and there was never any problems there... if you could let me know anything i would really appreciate it. all of the "not knowing" is killing me. thankx so much. j.s. superstar

I TALKED TO AN FRIEND TODAY AT OLD FOLSOM AND HE JUST WANTED TO SAY HELLO AND THAT HE WAS O-KAY BUT THATTHEY WHERE GOING BACK ON LOCK-DOWN BLACKS AND MEXICANA'S ARE FIGHTING AND SOMEONE GOT HURT. (6-1-05). HE HAS BEEN LOCKED DOWN FOR 10 YEARS AND HE COMES OUT 1-06, HE HAS BEEN LOCKED DOWN FOR 6 MONTHS STRAIGHT. i REALLY FEEL LIKE THEY ARE JUST LOCKING THEM DOWN FOR NO REASON AND IT EFFECTS THEM BIG TIME ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY'RE NOT INVOLVED.
ALL WE CAN DO IS PRAY FOR THEM.............................................. .............

So this incident involved hispanics? This is bad, this whole situation with the lockdown of blacks and whites is BAD. Now if everyone gets involved it will only get worse. Sorry everybody, but to the best of my understanding once the blacks and whites get off lockdown, they'll end up right back on. If everyone ends up at war with eachother it can only get worse. We need to PRAY because things are not looking good at OF. We've been without prolonged lockdowns for quite some time, other prisons get locked down for months at a time, I hate to say it but that's the road OF is headed down. What happened between the blacks and whites was serious, and theres bound to be plenty of people harboring resentment. Brace yourselves, I've seen it happen. None of us want to go down that road. Pray for Peace.

I fear the same thing. Each Race holds its own message (per say) I am so afraid this will be ugly I am not sure how this all works for this is my brothers first time in prison and with only 38 days left I just hope he keeps his nose clean... Good luck and ladies we need to pray
