I"ve been having a lot of luck with Barnes & Noble book stores. I also wanted to let you know that if you are going to do your book buying there, you might want to check out their used books also. I've been able to find some older, out of print books there and at a fraction of the cost. They seem to be pretty good about having a lot of paperbacked ones available on the used site too. Hope this helps.

Better check with the facility, Mule Creek doesn't allow any used books. I've sent them to HDSP, PVSP and CSP but I got them sent back from Mule Creek. So apparently there are differences between facilities. And find out how many you can send at once. Someplaces will let 1 or 2, sent in an envelope (not a padded mailer), from the bookstore, go through in the mail and not count them as a special purchase. Other places count them as a special purchase, which means only once per quarter.

For Pelican Bay I used Amazon and Barnes and Noble with no problems but I think some facilities are different in what they will allow the books to be sent in

My husband is at Ironwood and I've ordered books and magazines from Barnes & Noble and Amazon. Good luck... remember paperbacks only.

Mrz Williams,
I have always sent my boyfriend at Folsom books through Amazon with no problem. Just make sure it comes from the Vender(some used books come from personal sellers) & also they can't be hardback.
