if there's anyone would and can help start a bus ride for love ones that can't get to dillwyn to see their family. i travel to dillwn once a month, i figured it would be cheaper to rent a bus for the weekend once a month or twice a month to go there. can anyone hep me find a bus company in richmond that would do this. i travel back and forth from Nj. thank you.

The schedule I have that I recieved from Assisting Families of Inmates located at 1 North 5th Street back in January when I was over at their office which assists in other areas also. This may have changed dates, times, and locations since this was picked up, so please make sure as things do change.

The Monthly Transportation Schedule updated 9/1/04 which may have changed is on paper like this

1st Saturday of month:

Augusta depart 7:30 am return 4:45 pm
Buckingham/Dillwyn depart 9:00 am return 4:30 pm
Sussex 1 and 2 depart 9:30 am return 4:30 pm
State Farm depart 10:30 am return 4:00 pm

2nd Saturday of month:

Greensville/Brunswick/Lawrenceville depart 9:00 am return 4:40 pm
Nottoway/Lunenburg depart 9:30 am return 4:30 pm
Southampton * depart 10:00 am return 4:15 pm
State Farm depart 10:30 am return 4:00 pm

3rd Saturday of month:

Buckingham/Dillwyn depart 9:00 am return 4:30 pm
Mecklenburg/Baskerville depart 9:15 am return 4:45 pm
Coffeewood depart 9:30 am return 4:15 pm
State Farm depart 10:30 am return 4:00 pm

4th Saturday of month:

Brunswick/Lawerenceville depart 9:00 am return 4:30 pm
Nottoway/Lunenburg depart 9:30 am return 4:30 pm
Haynesville depart 10:00 am return 4:30 pm

State Farm trip includes: Powhatan Correctional and Reception Centers, James River Correctional and Work Centers, Deep Meadow, Virginia Correctional Center for Women.

Southhampton trip includes: Deerfield

* Southampton and Haynesville trips alternate travel every other month.

Effective January 1, 2004, there is a $6 fee for each adult rider and $1 for a child. Adults with 2 or morth children pay a maximum of $8.

To make reservations, call (804) 643-2401. Every adult rider must use his/her assigned Visitor ID Number when calling in a reservation. New riders should contact the office to recieve information on how to obtain an ID number.

All trips leave from, and return to, the AFOI office at 1 North 5th Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219
