Nephew is at Tucker and passed his GED recently and was curious about college level or trade classes...does anyone know Arkansas's policy on this?

My husband is at Tucker and is currently taking a welding class. I know they have trade classes available but am not sure how they can sign up for them. I would suggest that your nephew ask around.

I moved this thread out of prison profiles and into the main Arkansas forum. Hopefully you'll get the answers you need.

He can sign up for Vo-Tech. It is like college. He will have to complete 1400 hours and it takes about a year, so if he has the time, he might as well get some more education.

The other replies are right on - Votech is the way to go. Teaches job skills. Votech is available at Varner and Tucker.
