Directions:

From the North or South:

Hwy 101 to San Luis Obispo; exit Hwy 1

North on Hwy 1 (for approx. 3 miles)

CMC is on right side of highway; turn right at light on Colony Drive

West Facility visitors: turn left on Santa Cruz (first left), and follow signs to Visiting

East Facility visitors: stay on Colony Drive and park in parking lot on left side

Hi and Welcome to PTO. My fiance has been at CMC since 2000 so I am very very familiar with everything there. San Luis Obispo is like my 2nd home. Anyhow, I'm from Northern CA so I'm not very familiar with all those LA freeways.

Take 101 North (you will pass through Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, Pismo Beach, etc..)

You will then take the Hwy 1 exit.

Make a right on Santa Rosa street which will turn into Hwy 1

Follow Hwy 1 all the way up the hill and you will pass Cal Poly Tech. University on the right hand side.

You will go up the hill for about 3-4 miles

Once you pass the university and start going down the hill you will see CMC on your right hand side at the lights. Turn right into the prison and drive in straight ahead to get to the East Facility. Do not turn left by "Friends Ouside" because that will take you to the West Facility.
