Hi everyone. I joined this group a few weeks ago after a friend of mine got moved to Tutweiler from Limestone County Jail, somewhat trying to look for info about what she is dealing with down there. But after spending many hours reading the threads here, I have realized that my true frustration is in what happend a year ago. I was dating a man, and he got sentnced (68 mos.) on charges of one count of possession of child pornography, two counts of distribution of child pornography via computer, two counts of using computer to attempt to send obscene images to a child, one count of receipt of child pornography by computer, and one count of using a computer to attempt to solicit a child to engage in an illegal sex act.
After a whole year of not "caring" where he was:angry: , for some reason I feel like I should know. I in no way want contact with this man, but I feel like I have the right to know where he is, considering our prior relationship. I have looked EVERY way I can for this man's location, and came up empty handed, so in a last effort, today I went to the county Sherriff's office, the lady was nice, but she couldnt really tell me anything more then what I already knew, so she sent me to the City, the lady there was also nice, but no more info then what I already know.
If there is anyone out there knowing any way for me to find out if this man is in prison, and if he even served any time? I looked him up as a sex offender, beacuse I was thinking if he was back home, he would have to register in our town?, but came up empty there too:(! You can private message me if you need to know his name, I would not post it here, or if anyone can give me any way to get this, im so frustrated at the lack of info Im gettin about a potenially dangerous person fomerly in my life:mad:

I am sorry to hear about the man from your past, and I don't really know how to find folks in Alabama, but I am sure that someone will be along soon who can help you.

thanks, cember, but I really have tried EVERY way that I know possible to find this man in the system, and today's going to the sheriff's dept was not helpful, even thou they seemed to try to help. I just dont get how someone can be sentenced to 68 mos, and then not have any more info on them? There was a couple of news storys, and the Dept. of Justice releases, about it, but thats the last info I could find, and thats been since Sept. ( all this happend in May of 2004).
If anyone else has any ideas, let me know. :confused:
Im not loosing sleep over this, but sure would be more comfortable knowing where he is, if back in our town. Should I go BACK to the sheriff's dept. and be a pest 'till I get some answers? I sure did make it easy for them to say that they didn't know any more then me today.

First of all welcome to pto and I hope that we are able to help. If I am not mistaken if you are charged w child porn offenses then you are in a federal prison esp if it in involves use of a computer you should check the federal systems to see if they have any info.. I am sure that they can answer your ?? on this. I hope this helps..
