 Any ideas for honeymoon. He'll be on parole, so in the states only. Couple of other things...we are late forties in age...he's African-American and I'm half white and half Mexican. I know there are racist people everywhere, we just want to avoid as many of them as possible. Nice tolerant atmosphere, you know. Also the wedding is this November 5, so I would like to not be too cold. Not that I think we could be. ;)

Congrats on the Wedding!! :)

Who needs to travel for a honeymoon? How many folks actually take in the sites on the honeymoon? ;) ;)

Hehe. So, somewhere warm? You want water? What sort of activities would y'all like to do? (Other than the obvious!!!)

Water would be nice! Sightseeing, eating. Nice scenery for some nice walks or rides. He's been down nearly 5 years. And of course, the obvious.;)

Is California too far? Maybe southern Cali? Or Florida?

Head south! :)

YAH!

How about a Wild West Honeymoon? San Antonio...the Riverwalk....maybe a side trip to New Mexico (lots of beautiful adobe inns, very romantic!)

How about Kansas Irish. We have the worlds largest ball of twine. And our new tourist slogan, "Bigger than you think."

Actually Softcooky, I'd try Arizona, lower Nevade Maybe Grand Canyon area. You'd have a better shot at warmer weather, site see, and most americans are much more tollerant of mixed race relationships these days. You will have shallow people everywhere you go to an extent but don't let that ruin your time.

Hey guys I know this thread is old but I need some assistance with a nice honeymoon spot on the east coast. I want warm weather, beautiful beaches, not too crowded, luxury hotel room (with an affordable price, i don't want it to look like the average hotel). I want it to be real romantic also. Any advice will be helpful...thank you in advance!

Alabama (http://www.800alabama.com/things-to-do/activities/beaches/) offers beaches and luxury at decent prices and tends to be relatively uncrowded... I know it's not technically the East Coast, but it's a lovely option.

Georgia (http://www.exploregeorgia.org/Search/Interests) and Virginia (http://www.virginia.org/) also have some beautiful coastline.

Santa Fe, NM is magical. There is just something about the energy that the lands gives off there.

New Orleans is still cool. Love the jazz and cusine combo.

San Francisco is beautiful and the weather is hard to beat. Plus I never had a bad meal in SFO.

Washington, DC is cool to if you like museums. I love the Smithsonian. So much to see there. Lots of great clubs too.

Atlanta is jumping with lots of dancing, clubs and stuff. I personally perfer the history and ambiance of Savannah. It is a very beautiful city but stiffeling in the summer.

SoBe (South Beach, Miami, Fl) is hot, hot, hot! Once again lots of salsa and merengue dancing to be had at all hours of the night. I use to just walk down Ocean Drive and pop in to what ever spot had the best music and atmosphere. You can even drive down to the Keys or go out on a fishing boat for the day with all the fresh food and cold beer you can handle.

I still want to see the Crazy Horse Memorial in the South Dakota Black Hills.
