Oh I hate the phones at MuleCreek- why cant they call everyday!! I know the bill would be high but hey, I have a job and so does he. LOL I hate waiting, Im very impatient. How do u feel? I just miss him so much. I cant visit right now so calls are all I have. Tomorrow I will be getting one, I cant wait!

I hear what you're saying about the phone calls, but be very careful for what you wish for girl. My man got into some trouble so he's lost all his visits for 1 year followed by Non-Contact visits for 1 year. Which means that I haven't seen him since February 2005 and I won't get to see him again until January 2006. :( So basically our phone calls are our visits. I kept saying, babe I wish you could call me more because every other day isn't cutting it for me. Well now my baby calls me every day. I swear he calls anywhere from 2 to 15 times per day. I love talking to my man but damn....at $6.80 for each 15 minutes call....my phone bills are OFF THE HOOK!!!! No lie, I pay about $600 a month for just his calls. :eek:

My man is at Mule Creek and he can usually call every day. Lately they have been converting all the day rooms into more housing so they have lost most access to the phones. Hopefully this will be completed soon and they can have more phone access again!

Humm, My man says he only gets the phone every three days. Something about day room phones? Im new to this prison so its new to me. Hes in A yard so maybe thats why?? Its every third night from 7-9 and all weekends.

My husband gets a call every three days. And they're packing guys into the dayrooms in every building in his yard as well !! :( You think the phone time is bad!! Just wait until the visiting room fills within 2 hours!!

I Get Phones Calls All The Time! I Love It! I Dont Really Like The Phone Bill Too Much But, Its Worth Every Penny Of It!

My man is at Mule Creek...he can usually call everyday. He's also in A yard. I know every 3 days they get day room at night and they can call but everyday for a while they get yard time or day room or whatever it's called during the day and they can call. I'm not sure what time that starts but I know it's over at 3:30 p.m. My man has called me as early as 12:45 p.m. I think. But he works...so maybe that time is for the guys getting off work...I know he calls the showers on those days worker showers and they are in the same area as the phone. I haven't heard about them making more living spaces in the day room yet...that just plain sucks! :blah:

Yea, he cant call me during the day, he works but so do I, Im not home during the day to get a call. Forgot about that. Thats why he calls in the evening

I see...LOL! :D So yes, waiting for calls that only come every three days if your lucky can be just terrible! :faint: I have no patience...this whole prison thing is going to teach me patience if it kills me...LOL! :blah: Hang in there girl...your phone will be ringing soon...:D

Thank you Diane, your sooooo sweet. Actually I got my bill today and it was kinda high, I guess its good he cant call everyday, but it kills me to not hear his voice.

I know what you mean about the phone bill being kinda high...:rolleyes: Mine has slowly been going up from one month to the next...:shrug: ...so we have been trying to cut down. I get the every third day calls, too. But since we started getting family visits, the bills have gone down. Something about having so much solid time, and knowing theres more coming, really makes it easier to cut back. Sucks about the extra bodies in the day rooms...anybody notice an increase in the visiting rooms? My husbands a porter in A yard and he says it's always busy, but he's only been doing it a minute. I live 3.5 hours away, and have one day off a week, so I haven't been going to regular visiting. And I probably won't, if I'm just gonna get terminated. (I live 205 miles away...not far enough to avoid that!)

My friend is in B unit and calls me generally once a day though we keep saying every other day. You guys are LUCKY, I live in Ohio and my calls are 19.70 for a 15 minute call! Anyone wanna let me put a phone line in your house and forward it to my cell? LOL I'd LOVE $7.00 phone calls!

Try prison calls online coz I think they can save you lots of money. Call them and they will give you a quote how much they will charge you per call. I'm sure it is less than that awful 19.70.

I work during the day so I forward my house phone to my cell phone. Then when he calls during the day if I can I answer it and talk to him on my break. I wonder if it would work out of state?? especally if you had unlimited long distance on your plan???

I forward the office phone to my cell phone. I'm in Ohio and he's in CA and the system works fine...should for the money it costs! When I am out there for a visit it continues to work just fine. I haven't gotten anyone when I call Prison Calls Online yet but I'm anxious to see what they can do for my phone bill.

Thanks babypam, I've called everyday and the recording says they're sorry that there is nobody available to take my call and to leave my phone number and someone will call back soon. I've filled out the email request form twice. Wouldn't you think that I'd have developed a LITTLE patience in the last 8 years? LOL

Wow eight years with that kinda phone bill. Hope things work out. Let me know how much they save you so I can fall off my chair again.
