Hello to all. And thanks so much for helping me out over the weekend. I am new here and would like to get to know you all, also how to use this place!! LoL:D As you may know my husbands in prison in arkansas amd i was trying to get him a furlough to come home for my dad's funeral services. My dad passed away friday April 29th 2005 around 4:00 p.m. well a little after. Anyways we could not get him a furlough (whatever u want to call it) but the chaplain let him call. We couldn't come up with the money for him to have an escourt ext. heck if it weren't for my dad's, sister's husband (my uncle Don) we wouldn't of been able to do anything!!! Dad would still be setting in the mourge somewhere... Anyways Gene will be home soon, he comes up for parole in July (month of our 1 year anniversary) and should be home in August. My dad's b-day is August 16th. 1951 is the year he was born. Golly this has been hard. But i know some of you have been waiting for a long time on your spouse/b-friends, and its very hard, depressing, and so on. I know how you feel and relate to most and I want you all to know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I give my reguards to those who have been waiting a long period of time for their loved one's return and those who have lifer's. My reguards go out to all of you.Don't ever give up, you gotta keep your head up!!!
Now I would like to get tp know everyone, where their husbands/b-friends are at, and so on. This is if you waould like to get to know me and all. I would like some advice on how to use this site ext. cause i am new to this place. Anyways my love, thoughts, best wish's,and prayers go out to all of yall here in aarkansas and around the world!!! :D Have a good day:)

First of all let me tell you that my sympathies go out to you and your family. And secondly, welcome to PTO. You will find a lot of love and support here. It looks to me like you have an idea of how to use this site. I am Andrea and I live in New Jersey. But any questions you have, especially about your state, I am sure some one will be along to help you. Once again I am so sorry about your Dad. He was very young. I lost my Dad in 1989 and it still hurts.

J Adams, Welcome to PTO. My deepest sympathies go out to you. My fiancee is in North Central Unit and I live in Northwest Arkansas. The best way i've found to get around this site is to just start surfing it. If you have any specific questions, someone will get an answer to you pretty quick. You will find a lot of warmth, caring and support through PTO. I have made several online friends and I honestly don't know what I would have done without this forum. Good luck to you and hang in there.

j_adams - Welcome, once again, to PTO! There are so many wonderful people here and as peaches said, if you have a question, someone will usually have an answer. All of the support I've gotten from PTO has made this horrible prison experience just a little easier to handle. My fiance is a 309 at a county jail right now but was at Cummins for a year. We are exactly half way through his sentence - it's been 1 yr. 7 months, and we have 1 yr. 7 months to go. But we are so excited about his first furlough coming up in August!! :)

Best of luck with everything!

J Adams - We're so glad to have you here. (everytime i say that i think of us as 'a club in which no one wants to be a member!')
My husband was at cummins for a year and now he's at tucker and he'll be home (hopefully) on September 23rd.
If you have any questions about the site, just PM.

Welcome to PTO!!! As said above, just surf the site and if you have anyone questions, someone will usually have an answer. My fiance is at Grimes. He has been gone for almost 10 months. HIs release date (right now) is 06-07-2006. If he gets his class back, it will hopefully move forward. Before he got into trouble, it was 08-12-05. (That is also the date we were going to get married) I'm just hoping that he is home as soon as possible.

Well I do have some good news about my hubbies prole. He comes up in July sometime, but here's the best part: He's in marianna, at brickeys and is at the top of the list for a transfer to Newport at the Men's unit!!! So i have to call today and make sure he hasan't been transferred yet because I'm suppose to go see him this sunday. It sure would releave alot of stress if he has been transferred here. I'm in newport and we would only be 3 miles away!!! The visits are shorter but atleast he would be closer to home and i wouldn't have to drive a hundred some odd miles to go see him. He has three more months well 4 really. because it normally takes a month after the board has approved the parolee's address ext. I can't wait till he comes home. This is very stressful, and in every way possible.. My sympathy goes out to all!! Once again thank you guys, well gals actually lol!! well i need to try and get some rest with this darned toothache, ist the only reason i'm no in bed yet. Good nite to all. God Bless you all!!!

Well, I went to see my hubby and got some news about the transfer he was suppose to get. Well it all turned out to be bullcrap, so he won't be going anywhere now. He is two hours from here, and it looks like its going to stay this way. But, its ok though. I give my sympathy to those who have to travel over 2 hours to see their loved one's. It really sucks, but when the time comes for your loved one to come home none of it will matter then. You will have peace of mind and loving thoughts when that day comes. It was so good to see him this past sunday!!:D Only 3 more months maybe a little over until he gets home. Well July he goes before the Post prison tranfer board and hopefully I will have an address by then for him to parole to and i pray they will accept it!!! See rite now with having no income, my mother, daughter and I must move but to where, hell i don't know yet!! So in the event that if my mom either gets a government apartment and or ends up having to move back to east Texas with my dad's side of the family then I won't have a place for him to parole to!!:( But I hope this doesen't occur, but it could happen. Life is full of if's not to mention that if is in the word life! But anyways where there is a will there is a way.. I haven't been on line that much here lately and over the next week I am not sure how often I will be on here. I was just droping in to see whats up with all of you and see how things are going for everyone, abd to let you all know I will be pretty busy this week. I have to finish moving all the small things to storage and by this saturday maybe late sunday have most if not all the bigger things moved out. Next monday is our last day here and we are basically doing all the moving by our selves. I will get most of it alone, up until I just have to have someone help out. I have had a little help from a couple friends, but that was just the small stuff. I work better alone anyways. Mom does all the packing (mostly) and i do all the loading and unloading. We live in an apartment building and its up stairs!!! I know one things for sure, i'll be getting a good work out and maybe i can manage to shed a few pounds and keep them off!! LoL:) Anyways, take care everyone, God bless you all. I'm out of here for now, so be good and get back at me!!
