Hello everyone! I had posted awhile back about whether or not you can visit 2 different inmates. My father is in Tucker Max and I am obviously on his approved list. I have a friend in Cummins that I wanted to visit, so I sent in a visitor form. The warden contacted my friend and told him effective 3/1/05, you cannot visit 2 inmates unless they are immediate family. This is very unfair! I thought they encouraged visits to help in the rehabilitation process of inmates. From what he was told, the new system goes online in November, and any person on two inmate's lists will be terminated from all visits. Just a heads up to you guys. I wish there was something I could do about this, I am really upset.

Thanks for sharing genesgirl. This new rule does not apply to me, but I know that it will affect many people out there. I'm so sorry that you'll be unable to visit your friend. And you're right, our loved ones need all the support they can get - it's not fair to the people who will now not be receiving visits due to this new rule.

I'm glad they're putting visitation info in some kind of computer system though - maybe the check in process can go faster, i can't believe in these times they still rummage thru boxes of paper, looking for a visitation form.

let me get this right..if you are on the visitation list of more than one inmate then they will terminate your visits with all the inmates that you are on their list? I am of course on my husbands list but I am also on a friends list ( or atleast I was 3 years ago. I have never gone to see him and my last name on his list is different from my last name on my husbands list..anyone confused yet? :D ) I wonder if I need to call the unit hes ( the friend) at and request to be removed from his list:confused:

You might want to go ahead and call the facility just for precaution.
