Thousands of prisoners get parole
Prisons and detention centres nationwide on Thursday and Friday official announced the State President’s decision to grant an amnesty to prisoners who have behaved well during their prison terms.
By Friday afternoon, more than 7,750 prisoners were released, according to reports from the prison management department under the Ministry of Public Security.
The same day, the Thanh Xuan Prison and some other prisons also decided to reduce prison terms for those who are serving well in prison.
