My significant other will be entering the Arakansas DOC system within the next couple weeks for a sentence of 5 years. He is paralyzed from the waist down and is permanently bound to a wheelchair. Is there anyone else out there that knows of another parapalegic in the Arkansas DOC? I have spoken with the Medical Administrator for the prison, but would still like to hear from someone who has intimate knowledge about the challenges involved with living this type of life in general and how they are adapted to a jail setting.
