Does anyone know of an organization that sends free AA and/or NA books to prisioners? My son has requested them and am searching the web with no luck to find free ones. If I can't get them free how about cheap??
Any help appreciated.
Thank you,
Izzy

I dont know about NC but I know in MI prisons that NA and/or AA books are available in the libraries and threw the NA/AA groups in the prisons. He might want to check that out.

I'm not sure about AA/NA books but here is a website that will send free books to inmates.

When my husband was in prison, I emailed my husband's information directly to the Narcotics Anonymous WSO in California. They sent him a letter and pamphlets and signed him for for "The NA Way" - a free quarterly magazine.

In Northern California, when we bring meetings (AA) into prisons, we also bring books. Free. At outside meetings here, there is a pink can that is passed around for "Hospitals and Institutions" (institutions include jails and prisons). There isn't a shortage of money for books to bring to prisons, at least here. Sometimes there is a shortage of people to take them to the prisons, though, unfortunately. A call to your local central office (Alcoholics Anonymous in the phone book) might yield some info on getting some books.
Good luck.

I know in Pittsburgh, PA the main headquarters for AA will send books free. You can try to contact them and just explain the situation. I don't think they would turn anyone away that is trying to help themselves. Look on the internet for their phone number. Good Luck!
