Methamphetamine Pilot Program

Prairie View Prevention Services, working with Keystone Treatment Center in Canton, South Dakota, the South Dakota State Division of Alcohol and Drugs and USD Medical School, is involved in a pilot program designed to offer Meth addicts the support and tools they need to combat their addiction.

The pilot program is open to young men and women from 18 to 20.5 years old. Any South Dakotan in this age bracket who is addicted to Meth may be a part of the program. The goals include not only breaking the physical dependence on the drug but also teaching patients new ways to cope with life's problems to help prevent a relapse.
