I purchased two night vision, motion sensitive cameras and the card with software for my computor for less than $100. Problem is there is no instruction on how to install the card in my computor. :( I'm a newby to electronic stuff. My husband did all of that. It is a card with four video plugs and and a smaller round plug all in a row on one side. It has a large and small rectangular plug with the little pins on one of the other sides. (Can u tell I'm slightly illiterate? ) I looked in the files on the CD that came with it but I don't see a help or instruction file. I can't ask anyone I know for help because I wan't to catch who ever (probably my x) has been attacking my car and broke into my house during the last 6 years. I got the cameras installed ok but now I'm stuck. HEEEEEELP:banghead: Please!

Believe it or not I understand what you're talking about...I think...lol. It should be green in some spots, have a siver end to it and what not...let me know if I'm wrong. Cards are generally installed into the computer directly. In other words, this is a PCI card and needs to be installed into a PCI slot. Take the computer, unplug everything that's connected to it. In the rear should be four screws, unscrew them, open it up, see where there's a spot for it. You should see things similar to it already in there.
Once you find a spot for it, set the card into the slot, screw it in to the computer, there's a spot for a screw on the top of the card that rest on the frame. Case it back up, plug everything back in to where it belongs and turn the computer on. It should automatically detect the card, but do make sure you have the disk handy for drivers and what not.
If this doesn't work, then we're going to have to try something else...keep me posted.

well this is a picture of a regular video card,
http://www.newyorkwaste.net/comp_part_descriptions/video.html
what you have is probably video capture card

If you look at the picture the silver part is what sticks out of your case. This is where you will plug in the cables from your camera at.
If you look next at the brass tabs on the bottom/right side these are what go into the computer them self. These will slide in to a pci slot

Make sure that when you put your card in you push firmly not too hard so that the card is all the way in..but dont force it.
If you post what you got i can see if i can find more detailed instructions for you.

It's the video capture card with plugs for four cameras, amznbert. I followed your instructions emsrescue. I felt so proud to hook it up. Problem is, I turned it on and it came on in safe mode with the message "display adapter not configured properly. Start hardware installation wizard." I did but stuck again. It says Intel (R)82810E Graphics Controller is installed but has a problem. I can't find any help menu on the CD and it has many installation types. Boy, PTO sure looks funny in safe mode. It's making me dizzy with all the dots and plaids, I'd better put the hot damn away. LOL

It's probably trying to "share" the video card on the same "channel" as your regular video card. This is going to take some trouble shooting.
Right Click on My Computer then click on Properties.
Then click on Hardware then Device Manager.
Go down to where video controllers are and tell me if there's anything with a yellow exclamation point next to it. Then right click on that and tell me what it says in "Device Status"
We'll get it figured out, if it keeps being a problem take it out. It's ok to keep the case off of it until the problem is solved so as to save time.

Yellow ! on IntelR82810E Graphics Controller. Device status says device is not present, not working properly or does not have all the drivers installed. (code 24). When I booted up it said it wasn't working properly, to reconfigure display properties, I think. I tried to change the resolution to 600x800 but it is stuck on low numbers. Thanks

I gave up about 10 last night and started fresh this morning. Searched for an update for the intel graphic controller, downloaded v6. Yaaaah. Now I can see clearly, no more dizzy screen because it put the resolution at 600x800 like it needs. Success! Next I installed the software, tried to open it but it says security key not found so it won't open. This came from Japan. Do you think they don't need help files because they are so much more educated than us? Guess I'll try uninstalling and try it again, maybe I missed something.
