I was wondering if any of you have had any experience with someone being released from an Arizona prison going to a Halfway House in Arizona? The information I am seeking is what kind of time frame was the inmate told before leaving the prison and also what amount of time was there to get to the Halfway House? I mean was it just enough time to travel or enough time for a stop before going there?

I believe they have 24 hours after being released? but not sure .

Thanks for your info. I appreciate it. I had hoped that perhaps someone could be picked up. In Kentucky, we can pick up the inmates, but there isn't much besides travel time to get to the Halfway House. If the inmate does not have family or friends to take him, then the prison pays for a bus ticket.

Perhaps you have a bigger DOC than we do and they are able to transport inmates to these houses.
