Got a letter from my hubby yesterday (dated 4-17 when he wrote it) and he said the dorms on the south end had to be gassed.

He said that they have been having fights and riots like you wouldn't believe.

When everyone is out in population that they have the riot team out there now.

Just thought I would pass on what I have heard....

Wow! I thought Middleton was one of the quieter places in TDCJ!

I thought so too. But apparently the guys on the south side do not think that way.

I am just glad that it isn't where Herb is at. I would hate to go show them a riot if he got hurt.

I always thought Middleton was real quiet too....or at least I think it was when Eric was there...actually now that i think about it...i do think he told me about them getting gased once there! ugghgghh that makes me sick to my stomach that they do that to them!

Mike told me that it was hell when he was there....I was so glad when he got transferred away from there.

My husband just left Middleton not too long ago, and that is where he caught his first fighting case. Someone urinated in the sink while he was shaving. Then he hit my husband first, so he really had no choice but to fight back. Now because of that, he got dropped to a line 2, and he is a G4. It makes me really mad because even the Warden on Middleton said that it was self defense, and that he was not going to get a case, but they gave it to him anywase.

My husband said there was a fight in his Dorm at Garza west, I long fight and someone was knocked out. The guards were getting ready to use the gas but the guy was knocked out so they didn't need to. It must be in the air or something.

I think it is the full moon myself. Herb said all is quiet now in his letter today. He finally told me about the gangs that they have in Middleton. He has always down played everything until now.

He said on his side that everyone is real quiet and no problems, let's hope they keep him on that side.

John has totally downplayed everything there as far as the gangs, but it must be getting bad. His letter yesterday was pretty bad. He WAS is one of those buildings. They have moved him to the trasient dorm- he's moving to Mineral Wells soon. UGHHH.. how I hate thinking about that.

When I got Herb's letter about the riots, the first one I thought of was John because I knew that they where on his side of the prison.

The fights are between the Texas west and the blacks from what Herb said.

I hope that John is okay. What is mineral wells like?

Gas was used twice last week at the Neal unit also. Once was for a fight that broke out in the kitchen, I dunno about the other incident.

The fights were in E Dorm- between one of the hispanic gangs (can't remember the name) and the blacks.

Herb called them Texas West. I also think that the hotter it gets there this summer the worse it will be.

What worries me is that they just moved Herb. Where he was at no one fought.

He isn't someone to back down either.
