NZ cops like sexy e-mails

Wellington - New Zealand police said on Thursday they are investigating 330 officers after thousands of "inappropriate images of a sexual nature" were found during an audit of their e-mail system,
About 5 000 images were found and these took up 20% of the system's capacity, said police Commissioner Rob Robinson.
He told a press conference that none of the officers have so far been suspended but police would be seeking explanations from all of them.
Robinson said most of the images were "inappropriate" or likely to be offensive rather than objectionable in the legal sense. None involved child pornography.
But some images - linked to 30 of the staff being investigated - would be referred to the Film Censor to consider whether criminal charges should be brought.
About 13% of those involved were female officers.
All those being investigated had sent the images on to other people more than once, Robinson said.
"I am extremely disappointed that several hundred of our 10 000 staff have shown such poor judgment in retaining or forwarding on such images," he said.
