I need to know the difference (details) in the ADC and ACC. He was sentenced to a regional punishment facility with Arkansas Community Corrections not Arkansas Department of Corrections. I have read and read and still not sure what the deal is. Any info or even "convo" lol, would be appreciated, he left this morning and I am going crazy....

I'm sorry to hear that he left today. I know it's hard. I'm sure someone will come along and answer your questions in more detail, but I'll give it a shot as to MY understanding (which isn't much) I correlate ADC with prison and ACC with probation/parole. I think that if he finishes this drug program and then after so long, it will be taken off his record? (for 1st timers) But if he doesn't finish it, then he'll have to do prison time. Now I'm just guessing from what I remember reading about last year in the newspaper.

Good Luck and Take Care!

I moved this post out of prison profiles and into the main thread.
The

DCC is probabion/parole - when you make parole they actually clasify you as "transferred" to the DCC.

It LOOKS like ACC may be more like a halfway house, but it's still an ADC or DCC facility. I couldn't find much info at all, but this looks like it may be relevant:

A CCC is a residential program which offers structure, supervision, survellance, drug/alcohol treatment, educational and vocational programs, employment, counseling, socialization and life skills programs, community work transition and/or other forms of treatment and programs.... The article goes on to mention "In November 2003, DCC opened 50 new beds at the Southeast Arkansas Community Correction Center.."

The ADC website has a Texarkana Regional Correction Center - it has work release, eduction, and substance abuse programs.

Hope this helps?

R.P.F. is a drug treatment place and they also give you schooling. You have to do ATLEAST 50% of your time. They are tough on you there with their rules and in the county, it's known as snitch camp because everyone is always telling on each other. My father in law was there for a while and got booted from there for fighting and was put in A.D.C. with a shorter sentence. We have 3 R.P.F. Facilties in Arkansas. Hope this helps.
