Rumor confirmed. RSVP (a program at Tucker) is moving to Malvern. My husband is in phase 3 of 4 of RSVP and was told he MAY be affected. If you know anyone in phase 1 or 2 of RSVP they will most likely be moved to Malvern before their year of RSVP is finished.

Will this be a good move??? Will it move him closer or further away??

Actually it's just as far away from me time wise, but further away. (takes 1.5 hours to each place, but Malvern is all highway where tucker is all 2 lane roads)

Well being highway,,,,you can travel a LIL faster,,,LOL!!!!! Hope it's a good move for you guys,,,,,I have heard that Tucker isn't the best place,,,but don't know much about Malvern. Good luck,,,,and God bless!!!!

My husband is in phase 1 of RSVP! Doesnt matter to me about the move, its still about the same distance, maybe a litle farther, but as long as it is a good prison, thats all that matters to me! I would travel as far as I had to to see him! I just want things to be okay for him! When is this move supposed to happen??

Michelle, I don't know details on when yet, but the leaders of it have been attending meetings to prepare them. They're not outwardly happy, as they have to MOVE. We just pray that they don't stop classes while the move takes place. I'll post here as i learn more.

Husband writes: Turns out they "forgot" to build an office building.. So that'll take a while. The official word is "not to worry 'til after next phase"

This phase will be over some time in June, the next phase will be over approx September 21st.

Here's the latest.. The move will either be July 1st (at the end of this phase) or in December. It depends on whether they can get the offices built quickly enough. Considering they have free inmate labor, it seems possible, but who knows.

I wish i knew if the transition from one location to another will delay classes starting and therefore delay our men coming home!
