Well guys I got a JOB!!!! :D Not the best in the world,,,but it's a paycheck and HOPEFULLY it will get me moved SOON!!!!:thumbsup: I went to work at Dollar General,,,,,working 8 AM - 8 PM!!!! YEAH,,,LONG hours,,,pay sucks ,,,but the overtime will be great!!! Say a prayer,,,hopefully this will get me moved to Arkansas SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!! Stacy, I used to live in Sheridan and its not a place I would like to go back to. It is really really small and there is NOTHING to do there. I couldnt stand it. They have 2 stores to shop at and both of them are very expensive. You can buy 2 loafs of bread anywhere here for the price you pay for one there. There is, however, a Dollar Genreal there. Dont expect to make any money in Sheridan. Just about everyone there is on public housing and food stamps. The HUD thing goes through Benton so I would suggest you apply now because the waiting list is almost 2 years. When I applied I was told (If I got it) once Clayton was released I would lose it because he was convicted of a violent offense ( agg. robbery). I applied and lived with my sister for over a year then I got a good paying job where I live today. I drove over 30 miles to work every day. Once my lease was up on my appartment I moved and almost a year later HUD called me in for a interview, by then it was to late, I had already moved. Congrats on the job. I used to work at a Family Dollar, and it was fun, or I least I thought it was.
I used to live in Russellville where the college is. They have a couple of Tyson plants out there. I worked at the frozen food plant in Russellville and they paid me $8.00 hr to start, and you work 12 hr. shifts and only 4 days a week. It was fun too, and they feed you for free during lunch breaks.

Thanks for the info ,,,man I didn't realize Sheridan was such a bad place. I picked it because it was close to benton,,,and was a small town. I am from a small town,,not quite as small as there...but I didn't want to have to move to Little Rock,,,,I guess I may have to check out Benton, huh? Well I really don't care as long as it is closer to Matthew. Right now I am 158 miles from him,,,and it takes me 3 hrs to drive(because of the speed limits) ,,,,but this driving is killing me and my poor car!!! Poor ole Bessy has seen her better days...she is getting old,,,replaced the motor last year(not with a brand new one tho) but I have had to replace all 4 tires in the 6 months of driving!!!UGH!!!! But I HAVE to move SOMEWHERE!!!!! I don't know ANYONe that lives anywhere around Benton,,,so I know NOTHING about the place,,,,,not sure where to go,,,but whereever it is has to have good schools,,,I have 2 daughters,,,my oldest will be 13 next mth. and the other will be 11 in July,,,so schools are VERY important!!!!

Sheridan schools are really good. The kids dont have to wear uniforms BUT they have a huge problem with head lice. I live in Pine Bluff and my kids who are 13 (will be 14 in July) and 12 go to Watson Chapel school and its a good one. Ofcourse I think its a good school because thats where I went. I live about 45 minutes from Benton. I feel you on the driving, my husband is now in Pine Bluff and this is the first time in over 5 years that I havent had to drive miles and miles to go see him. OMGosh,,,headlice,,,I DON'T NEED !!!!! We had that problem last year with a school here in La, that my kids went too. Had to get the school board involved,,,was REALLY bad!!!! I passed a place called Glen Rose on the way to Benton,,,,do you know anything about that place. Pine Bluff is just a little further that I would like to be. Heck I would move across the street from the Benton Unit if I could!!! LOL Heck I don't know where to go,,,,guess I need to figure that out huh? LOL WEll I am about to leave for work,,,be back about 9 tonight,,,have a good one!!

Stacy, I live in Jacksonville and work in Little Rock. If you plan on working in Little Rock do NOT move to benton (the traffic and construction between benton and little rock are horrible). But if you don't plan to work in little rock, you should really like benton. I'm out in the country.

Yeah I know ...when I lived in Mississippi I had to go through there,,,I hated it...cause it was always dark when I came back through,,,and needless to say I can't see anything at night,,and low and behold it was always raining!!LOL.....I have been checking out Benton on the net,,,looking promising!! Thanks for the info.....
