Last minute question.
Didn't see anything in rules about shoes and specific colors aren't mentioned. Have been to visit in other prisons but it's been awhile.
Assuming that black, white, purple, red, pink are all acceptable colors.

Denim of any kind, khaki or tan and greens are not.

Thanks for your help.

DVS Lady,

Sorry I haven't responded earlier. I don't go onto PTO as much as I used to. Don't know much about New Folsom. You might be able to get some information by call the visitor line 1-800-374-8474. Follow the menu tree for Northern California, area code is 916. Usually at the end of the message will be some visiting clothing guidelines. I don't think they will be much different from Old Folsom's.

Lollipopslady,

shoes can be any but sandals have to have a strap. They won't let you in if they see you don't have a strap. You have to take your shoes off before going thru metal detector so they will notice.

colors to wear - all mentioned are safe but avoid a top and bottom that are the same color, they look like a jumpsuit from far away. Also, no plain white shirt, looks too much like an inmates white tee shirt. also, no hats anymore. No blue clothing of any kind. If it looks blue from far away, it's out. Can sometimes get away with a print that has some blue as longs as it isn't the major color.

charme;)

jssuperstar,

need to know what kind of info you are interested in hearing about. Visiting has it's drama, but I don't think it is as bad as other prisons. As long as I get to see my son, I can ignore the drama. You can always send me a Private Message with your questions.
