FIRST OF ALL I ALWAYS ADDRESS MY MAN AS MY HUSBAND.WE ARE NOT OFFICIALLY MARRIED YET BUT THE CHAPLAIN SPOKE WITH US ON OUR LAST VISIT AND SAID WE ARE THE NEXT COUPLE.HE SAID HE WILL BE SENDING ME MY PAPER WORK TO FILL OUT THE END OF THIS MONTH AND THEN IT WILL BE ON AND POPPIN'.I CANT WAIT. QUESTION IS :confused: WHEN WE GET MARRIED I WANT TO KNOW FROM YOU LADIES OR GENTLEMEN IF YOU ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE ANY TIME ALONE, B/C IF SO WE GONNA GET DOWN...:D ALL I NEED IS 2 MINUTES WITH MY BABY, LOL..... BUT THE CHAPLAIN TOLD ME WE WOULD HAVE A 1 HOUR LIMIT..THAT IS FOR THE CEREMONY AND TAKING PICTURES...I WONDER IF WE ARE DONE WITH ALL OF THAT IN SAY 45MINUTES, DO WE GET ANY TIME ALONE???OR WILL IT BE SUPERVISED THE WHOLE TIME..I KNOW YOU PROBABLY THINK DOES THIS WHITE CHICK GOT IT ALL UPSTAIRS. In Florida we just get an hour visit after the ceremony and no time alone, not sure about Alabama.

I'm not sure about the "alone" time...but, I doubt very seriously the "great" state of Alabama would let that happen...considering Alabama doesn't have conjugal visits or anything of that nature. :( But, a little wishful thinking never hurt anybody...right?

I'm gonna move this over to the Alabama forum so it may get more input on a "state" level.

No...a contact visit is what we get now (holding hands, hugging, kissing, etc..) but, a conjugal visit is actually "sexual" (sometimes referred to as a "family visit" or a "trailer" visit)..so, these are 2 different things. Don't get me wrong...it would be great if we were allowed conjugals...but, sadly..that isn't the case.

Contact just means its not behind glass. So to answer your questions they are two differant things.

congratulation's on your upcoming marriage. unfortunatly you won't have any alone time. we were married ar St. clair in 1995. we were married on the visiting yard with only the chaplain present (no C/O's) but he never left us alone even for a second and there are camera's in the visiting room.
alabama DOC doesn't like happy people so they don't allow "family visit's". contact visit's just means you don't visit behind glass, conjugal visit's are not allowed anywhere in alabama.
