well congratulations always keep extra cloths in your car so you can run out and grab something else i always just wore the basics so i had no problems i understand you want to look nice but your more worried about getting in to see your loved one............i wore jeans not to tight.............but black pants will work to............i wore a long sleeved shirt or sweat shirt not tight and not see through...........always wear a bra.........sorry some dont.........lol.................i wore socks and tennis shoes they are aklways safe.........but nice boots are ok...............you want nothing revealing on or to tight...........sometimes they frown on tucked in stuff so you might be safe with a pull over and no hoods or zip ups........they are funny about stuff every co is different some let certain stuff in that others dont....................after your first time you can look at others and see what they are wearing in...............always bring in the exact amount of change i have seen some get theier visit cancelled for the day for bringing in more..................just be sensible and you will be okay...........as long as nothing is to tight or see through and showing to much skin you should be okay i wish you luck you have a long way to go i had a 10 minute drive so if i need to come home i could................always keep extra stuff in your car prison isnt a fashion statement place......................whats important is getting in to visit im so excited for you............

congrats. i am happy for you. they are giving you good advice. i personally like to wear khakis or black jeans. no grey sweats, no army green or camoflauge.also no white t-shirts. try to stay away from stuff with studds or excessive buttons bc the detectors are really sensitive. no more than 30 dollars per adult. i take as many ones as possible bc the change machines often run out of change or dont work and i would hate for you not to be able to get something to eat or drink on the visit. and if your brother is behind the wall you might want to get there asap bc there is often long lines. try to arive around 7 so you can be in asap.
