I just spoke with hubby's counselor. In the past, he's been exempt from all the transfers because of his apprenticeship status. His counselor said that nobody's exempt anymore, and they are moving the rest of the level II's out this month. The only one's staying now are closed custody, those 90 or less to house, and I believe those going to board soon. She said this came from Sacramento, and there's nothing they can do about it. She said that this is "it". When I spoke with her in the past, she always told me not to worry but that was before this new "order" or whatever it's called. So, be prepared everyone.
Best,
Wendy

I was confused about the level one thing too. Maybe she meant they will go to camp? They are all level I's there and still technically at Folsom...they are just by the new prison.
Minnie...closed custody inmates are a higher custody level. Many of them are lifers who haven't served their minimum time yet. I think if you do a search on the site, somebody explained it all once. If your man is a level III, he probably didn't say anything to you since this doesn't affect him. The level III's are staying put...for now anyway. Only building 5 will have level II's in it. They can't put level III's in there unless they spent a million dollars renevating that building to make is safe for the staff.

My husband's cellie is a one and they left him there until the recent moves this week. Everyone should be gone within the next few weeks...the level II's transferring.

okay, help me out too. my husband is a level one and he is at the camp. he has been there for about 2 months. does that mean his stay at the camp is almost through. will he get moved or does he have a good chance at staying put if he stays out of trouble?

This happened to a very dear friend of mine. They moved her husband all the way to Chuckawalla so be prepared for ANYTHING!!!! She lives in Modesto and it really sucks for her. But hey I know how she feels they moved mine from Tehachapi all the way to San Quentin. CDC has no regard for keeping families together.
