View Full Version : Mule Creek-MCI collect call charges?
~StArFiSh~ 04-03-2005, 09:37 PM Hi, can someone plz tell me how much it would be to get a collect call from Mule Creek through MCI? I know the calls are 15 minz a piece- so about how much is that? Is there a cheaper way to go? Do you have to pre-pay there?
Thank you!
BLuft 04-04-2005, 10:18 AM Most MCI calls are about $18 per 15 minute call.....The breakdown is on the new to system post...$3.95 connect fee, $.89 a minute...MCI Inmate Services 1-888-415-0377. I tried to copy paste the page into my reply but it won't work...
www.prisoncallsonline.com for a cheaper service if your gonna get alot of calls....I'm just waiting for my husband to get out of reception to get that service.

Rumpled 04-04-2005, 10:47 PM I must be getting off easy. My brother's calls to me run $6.20 from Mule Creek to Orange County. They've all been evening calls, 15 minutes. I tried PCO and they said they couldn't save me any money.
All billed to my home phone by MCI. No way to do prepaid apparently.
Hope this helps.
~StArFiSh~ 04-04-2005, 11:11 PM TY, I found out my charges today. 13 calls was only 58.00 ,not as bad as I thought. Around 4.70 for 15 minz.
PT ROSE 04-04-2005, 11:17 PM I have verizon phone service but my son's calls come through MCI on my phone bill. We are in Riverside County, he calls me from Susanville, about 700 miles away... The calls are $6.20 for 15 minutes. weekdays or weekends, same amount.
Diane93635 04-04-2005, 11:22 PM My 15 minute calls from Mule Creek with MCI are $3.75 a call.

LovingYou 04-05-2006, 09:07 PM Diane you are SO lucky. To LA it is $6 and change.
Not to change subject...Janet did your man move already? I use to talk to you a few times last year...I did a name change.
Ant's wifey 04-05-2006, 10:02 PM I live in San Diego and my calls are $5.30 for 15 mins...It may not seem like much, but it adds up, and I could be driving a brand new BMW for what I pay in collect calls!!!
eiilopez 04-05-2006, 11:22 PM I live in San Diego and my calls are $5.30 for 15 mins...It may not seem like much, but it adds up, and I could be driving a brand new BMW for what I pay in collect calls!!!
I know what you mean I am still paying off the calls from county and he left there is October!!! We were able to talk for 2 hours at at time then!!! The last year all my money has gone to phone calls and
gas driving to visits!!
LovingYou 04-05-2006, 11:28 PM this is weird. LA is closer to Ione than San Diego and it is only $5.30 for Ant and $6 something for me. Oh well, go figure.
Colossians3Two 04-06-2006, 12:51 AM Hi guys! When I could get calls, it wa $5.30 from OC. Lov, don't know why yours are $6? Can't be because of the tax rate, hmmmm....
My calls were 19.70 for 15 minutes until I switched to Prison Calls Online, now they are 7.90 for 15 minutes and go directly to my cell phone. PCO is GREAT if you can use it.

MissMichelle 05-08-2007, 08:59 PM  Does any one know...my bf was just sent to Mule Creek and I have been unable to get a call from him. At the last place he was at the collect calls could be forwarded from a landline to a cell phone with call forwarding. Does MCI allow that?
Waitin4BlueEyes 05-08-2007, 11:21 PM It's not up to MCI, it's based on the state/facility.
California as a whole doesn't have rules against call forwarding, but each facility may have their own rules.
My fiancé just left Mule Creek about 6 months ago and I did it all the time while he was there.
Cronesong 07-04-2007, 03:34 AM So call forwarding is okay from Mule Creek ?
Is PCO best ?
If so I could chat with my pp if it was cheap enough
Otherwise it is $30.00 for a 15 minute phone call from USA to NZ .....what a scam !
:) Blessings
Charlie'sGirl 08-10-2007, 02:18 PM My husband calls me from Mule Creek however mci is not their carrier anymore its Global Tel or something like that, does anyone know how much the calls are from there..but straight to the phone without a phone plan from them?
