Is Mail to Old Folsom Usually SLOW??? I sent a letter and a card to my son on March 7th and he said he just receive it on March 28th. That's 3 weeks. It was faster sending a quarterly package (2 weeks) than it is to send mail.
Is this normal for Old Folsom???

How long has he been there? I've noticed that when they are first transfered it can take a really long time but after a while it usually only takes about a week or so. Unless it's around the holidays, then it always takes forever!

Oh... Thanks. He was only transferred there on March 2nd. Hopefully, the mail will start getting to him sooner.

Sadly, we've ALWAYS had slow mail there. 3-4 weeks is normal there. When we get on the staff about it, it will improve for about a month; but sadly that's the norm. :(

yeah the mail there at folsom is really really really really slow. it takes my husband mail about 3-4 weeks for him to get it. so special events require me to send it in advance just to try to get it for the event. (ie birthdays, christmas, fathers day) and it hasnt gotten any better now that he is on the ranch. it almost seems slower, but he just told me that some of the guys that were in the mail room were fired so the mail has been stacking up. just last saturday during visiting, on of the COs were carting in some very large mail bags. hopefully that is a good sign. my husband told me that FedEx just won a suit with the CDC and that if it is really important to send it with them and it will get there in a timely manner.

yeah its really slow for my husband to get his mail. We are noticing that it is taking 45 days or more for him to get my letters. He was going to 602 it but like others said it won't make much difference.
