Is I-10 open? My mom says she heard part of I-10 is closed---we are thinking of visiting J in the morning and leaving there and going to the beach so I would need to get on this interstate.

Hi, what state are you in? Because we have an I-10 in Arizona, but you mentioned the beach so I'm not sure? If you are in Arizona, then as far as I know ,the I-10 is not closed anywhere. Good luck. Lisa

I am in Ga going to Fla but going thru Nicholls Ga to get there. Sorry didnt think about it before I posted---really I guess I didnt realize I-10 went that far. Its pretty apparent I was skipping the day we studied the map in school.

It depends on where you are coming from and where you are going to on I 10. I 10 was closed recently, for a while, because of a tanker spilling some kind of toxic substance, but that was in the area between Pensacola and Mobile. I would think that they would probably have it cleaned up by now, but to make sure, and especially if you are coming from Mississippi or Louisiana, or west of Mobile, you might want to access www.myflorida.com and then clic on Floridian and they have all sorts of information on that website area. What prison are you going to ? I worked at one in NW Florida and am now trying to get on at one in north or central Florida.
