Well the kids and I are leaving out Monday a.m. to go to Fla for Spring Break. We are meeting J's mother and his grandmother there to stay for a few days. Its the grandmother birthday on Monday we are gonna have a dinner for her. SHe hasnt been to the beach in 50 yrs! :eek: J will be missed :(! I hope we have some good weather. BTW is PC Beach.

Is it Daytona beach you are going to? spring break is soooooooo fun there :thumbsup: But I have been to most all the beaches in Fla. , at one time or another, they are all fun !!!!!

Well let me welcome you to florida. well when you get here that is. You will like it.

I love the beach. We used to go to PC all the time, but its kind of gotten more of a place for teenagers in the past. However they are changing it---more condos less hotels/motels. My mother in law has friend who runs some beach houses so thats where we are going.

I really enjoy going to Gulf Shores Alabama--very clean and family oriented. NO teenagers flashing for beads and passing out drunk on the beach!

The weather at the beach has been miserable for the last few days but it's beautiful right now and forecasters say it will stay this way for the next few days. My family has been going to PC Beach since I was a little girl and I love it. Yes, there are a lot of teens and college kids down there now but it is their Spring holidays and we expect it to be crowded and crazy. Be forewarned....a PC Beach policeman was shot to death last weekend and it was the first time that has happened ever in their history and tensions are heightened. Hope you have fun with your family and enjoy yourselves !!

OH my----do you have an article about this? I have been going to PC since I was an infant----almost 30 yrs old now. We want be out riding. SO we are gonna be there MOnday thru Wednesday at least---whats the forecast and be honest. I need to know what to pack. I want to sit on the beach, sun and rest!!

The weather people forecast that it will be sunny and clear from now until Wednesday after noon when there is a chance of thunderstorms; highs are expected to be between 67 to 78 and lows between 43 to 57. There is a red flag warning out on the beach which means the surf and undertow is up, and although they didn't say this, you may expect to have seaweed and jellyfish in the water. So, if you are interested in sitting on the beach, sunning, resting, building sand castles and such, and wading, then it will be ok. Nowadays, when the red flags are out on the beach indicating rough surf, if one goes out in the water, they will be detained, for their own safety; drownings at PC Beach make people afraid to come down so the police try to make it where it is safe.

1dayatatime have a safe and wonderful trip. I'm going to South Beach in 3 wks for springfest. My first vacation in 11 yrs. I hope to have a great time with the girls. Hoping the weather is nice while I'm there.
